Bungie has released a standalone trailer of Commander Zavala’s prelude that was shown during the gameplay premiere on May 18^th.

On the eve of a new adventure that begins with an attack on our home, this reintroduction to the world of Destiny asks: “What makes a Guardian a Guardian?” In Destiny 2, new legends will rise to stand together with the heroes who have sworn to protect humanity.

It’s a cool little trailer but something about it just feels… off. I can’t place my finger on it. Maybe the voice acting, maybe soundtrack choice, maybe something else altogether. Whatever the case it just seems mixed terribly and things just don’t quite fit.

But what the hell do I know, I still have the original Destiny for Xbox One in its shrink-wrapped next to my desk.
