Xbox One Will Launch Twitch Streaming March 11

Microsoft may be a few months  late to the streaming party, but starting March 11th it will be debuting its Twitch streaming service to the Xbox One. Has the it been worth the wait? Microsoft will tell you that it has.

In another move to boost its reputation in the eyes of gamers, Microsoft is launching their feature rich Twitch streaming service alongside the launch of the much-anticipated Titanfall. Players will be able to share their gaming sessions directly to Twitch without the need of installing any additional software or additions. This integration with the Twitch service will make sharing gaming sessions with friends a breeze and will be bolstered by the high quality video output (720p) players will be able to stream.

Users will be able to get onscreen notifications when their friends, or favorite broadcasters begin streaming so that they can join in with the push of a button. Another feature that Microsoft is banking on is the ability for players, on the Twitch side of things, to be able to stream content from and system, while still notifying friends and followers on the Xbox One. Essentially, you can be streaming a PS4 or Wii U game and your followers on the Xbox One will get a notification and be able to watch your stream right from the Xbox One. The Sony streaming service only allows for watching and streaming of PS4 titles only.
