Ecks Bawks All Axecess.
It seems Microsoft’s Xbox All Access service is real. And we know that, because there’s already a store page for it in the U.S.
The store page illuminates the process. You go to an Xbox Store (yes, you have to go to one of their brick-and-mortar stores), choose a bundle of your choice (there’s one for the Xbox One X, and one for the Xbox One S) and then apply for a Dell Preferred Account to pay for it over time. And that’s it.
So you can actually make the acquisition of an Xbox System affordable on a monthly budget. After all, the main difference between the two bundles is price; the Xbox One X runs you $35 a month, and the Xbox One S only going for $22 a month.
They both come with a 24 month subscription for Xbox Game Pass, as well as 24 months of Xbox Gold subscription. From a statement by Xbox Product Marketing head Bogdan Bilan:
For no upfront cost and one low monthly price for 24 months, Xbox All Access gets you a new Xbox One S or Xbox One X, access to more than 100 great games through Xbox Game Pass, and online multiplayer with Xbox Live Gold. That’s more than 100 all-you-can-play games — including highly-anticipated new Xbox One exclusives the day they’re released, plus more games added all the time on the fastest, most reliable gaming network and an Xbox One console.
This deal isn’t available outside the U.S. yet, nor is it available online. Which sucks if you don’t have an Xbox Store near you. The other thing worthy of note is that this is billed as a limited time deal; probably to test the waters on such a service.
