Xbox 20/20 Games Event

Xbox

Unprotected Xbox SeX.

Thanks to the ongoing pandemic, Microsoft took a page from Nintendo’s handbook and did their own Nintendo direct with blackjack, and hookers sort of deal. Of course, they dubbed their Xbox 20/20. And showed off a bevy of games, both known and new.

Notably, one of the main highlights of the event was the Smart Delivery system. Smart Delivery insures that, no matter what Xbox Series system you’re playing on, you only have to purchase a game once, and you’ll be able to play the best version of it the device you’re using at the time can run.

Here’s the grand list of games, though:

Bright Memory Infinite
Xbox

A crazy first-person game that has it all: guns, crazy Spartan warrior ghosts, driving action sequences. Notably, the game was made from the ground up by a single person from FYQD Studio in China. Hell if I know what the game’s about, but a one person dev team straight up earns mad respect regardless.

DiRT 5
Xbox

Codemasters’ dirt rally racing franchise makes its next appearance on the Xbox Series X. Both Nolan North and Troy Baker are confirmed to lend their talents to the story mode.

Scorn
Xbox

Scorn is a non-linear horror game that might bring to mind things like the Alien franchise, among others. Looks like its got a bunch of freaky pregnancy imagery to go along with all that space horror.

Chorus
Xbox

A space combat game that, to be frank, has some crazy-looking flight shots going for it. Also, the protagonist seems to be connected with her ship in some way.

Madden 21
Xbox

John Madden. John MAdden John madden. Football?

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2
Xbox

Honestly? If you were a fan of the previous game, you got all excited when this one popped up.

Call of the Sea
Xbox

Call of the Sea is a first-person adventure game set on a mysterious island. Other than the her search for “Harry”, the trailer banks on the main character’s quest to unravel the mystery of his fate.

The Ascent
Xbox

This isometric shooter drips with good, old-fashioned cyberpunk flavor.

The Medium
Xbox

A psychological horror game. Notably, they’ve got Silent Hill composer Akira Yamaoka on board with them, so you can probably guess the general direction they’re heading with this one.

Scarlet Nexus
Xbox

An anime character-action game from Bandai Namco. Otherworldly beings known as “The Others” have arrived, and only the OSF’s psionic warriors can stop them.

Second Extinction
Xbox

You get to be what kills the dinosaurs… again. What’s not to like?

Yakuza: Like a Dragon
Xbox

The newest Yakuza game ditches the traditional gameplay for some turn-based flair. Also, they’ve managed to blend the Japanese and Western titles for the series into one whole for this game.

Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla
Xbox

The next Assassin’s Creed game trades the series’s typical settings for one a bit more Nordic. I don’t know how they’ll shove in the whole “reliving your ancestor’s memories” thing everyone doesn’t care about, but hey, longships.

Microsoft plans to have Xbox 20/20 occur roughly once a month. Which means they’ll have more to show off next month.
