The World’s First ‘Free’ Gaming PC Is Here Thanks To LiquidSky

The Team from LiquidSky was at CES 2017 this last week and made some waves in the gaming world with their major announcement: a brand new, revamped LiquidSky, complete with increased graphical performance and even lower latency.

While that’s pretty cool for those looking to game on low-end PCs and Mac‘s, but the real announcement –at least for us– was that LiquidSky is making all that FREE!

You read that right. Later in Q1, the brand new LiquidSky will be releasing as the world’s first FREE Gaming PC!

LiquidSky

With the new LiquidSky, users will be able to watch ads in order to earn free SkyCredits up to a daily limit. With an entirely revamped UI and the new SkyLounge, users will be able to chat in our Lobby and play web games with each other as well. All the power of a high end gaming PC, with the convenience of the cloud, all for the low, low price of FREE.

How It Works

All you have to do is access LiquidSky via any or your devices. This can be from a PC, Mac, Linux machine, Apple, or even Android device.

Once logged in all of you actions via mouse, keyboard, controller or touch are sent to the LiquidSky servers.

From there the LiquidSky servers do all of the heavy processing that a high-end gaming PC would do.

Your SkyComputer experience is then delivered to you just like a video streaming service does with little-to-no-latency.

Benefits

Using this technology users will have access to a PC with up to 8GB of GPU VRAM, 32GB of RAM and 12 vCPU cores. That’s a pretty impressive virtual rig and would mean you can play all current games on ultra quality settings.

But the biggest thing is that LiquidSky is the first to provide a completely free high-end gaming PC using an ad supported format. And while it’s yet to be seen if consumers jump onboard, I know a lot of people who want in on the PC gaming, but simply can’t justify shelling out thousands on a high-end rig.

We look forward to getting our hands on the service so we can put it through its paces to see how it holds up under real-world conditions.
