Good lord. I’ve never heard of Triple Nine, but after reading this article on Vulture, I’m starting to think it’s The Expendables of great actors.
Triple Nine is a heist drama directed by John Hillcoat (Lawless, The Proposition), and in addition to Harrelson it stars Aaron Paul, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Casey Affleck, Gal Gadot, Kate Winslet, Teresa Palmer, Michael Pena, and Michael B. Jordan.
I don’t know much about the plot, but Vulture has confirmed that Harrelson is playing “Sergeant Detective Jeffrey Allen, uncle to Casey Affleck’s fellow officer.” I wonder if it’s weird to be someone’s pretend uncle after you pretend beat the shit out of him in Out of the Furnace.
