File this on under “things that should have existed for ages.” The Nintendo Entertainment System is pretty much the reason we are all here playing our fancy PlayBoxes and X-Stations. The little grey toaster is getting up there in years, and while good controllers can sometimes be difficult to track down. And even if you do have a few laying around, sometimes you (me) wish you could just take one of your existing wireless controllers and get some Contra in.
The company Analogue in conjunction with controller maker 8Bitdo have created this small adapter that fits into he controller port of your original NES. The little device uses Bluetooth to allow you to sync up a plethora of wireless controllers including: Nintendo Wii, Wii U, PS3, PS4, 8Bitdo controllers and more.
I love my Nintendo, but as I’m not a six year-old kids anymore, the controller really is a strain on my hands with its rectangle design. Now that I can use most any controller I know I’ll be getting in a few more rounds of Punch Out.
Would it be possible to use a micro use to regular usb (USB-OTG) cable to plug in a usb controller
