Microsoft is making a big statement with their new operating system. Not only will Windows 10 bring with it a number of changes to, hopefully, make our lives easier, it will also be free of charge to those looking to make the upgrade.
This isn’t just some ploy for users currently running Windows 8.1, but the upgrade will be available to all of those running Windows 7, 8.1, and will even include anyone using Windows Phone 8.1. The only catch is that there will be a time limit of one year on your chance to snag an upgrade from Microsoft.
Microsoft’s Terry Myerson wants to push for a unified Windows environment saying that, “What version are you running” no longer makes sense in today’s modern-day and age. I have always be cautious of upgrading Windows (I’m still running 7), but having the option to upgrade for free does have me quite interested in finally making the jump.
