Windows 10 To Add Phone Screen Mirroring On Your Desktop

Windows

Actually super useful.

At Microsoft’s recent Surface event, mobile general manager Shilpa Ranganathan showed off a new Windows 10 feature. Specifically, this feature will mirror your smartphone’s screen on your desktop, meaning you won’t actually have to grab your device to check things on it. Granted, this is probably a feature restricted to Android devices, but that’s  probably pretty obvious.

This feature’s still a ways off, however. It’s definitely not in the October update, and there’s no given date for when it’ll be implemented. Still, there are a number of things one might imagine screen mirroring being useful for (off the top of my head, it probably makes capturing video from your phone easier). So let’s hope it’s not too far down the pipeline.
