Another former Marvel alum is heading to the Snyderverse, err, sorry, the DC cinematic universe.
Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Willem Dafoe, who played the baddie, Green Goblin in the original Spider-Man film, has joined the cast of Justice League.
There is no word on what character the actor will be playing, but we know it will not be a hero or villain, merely a “good guy,” within the film. This casting follows on the heels of J.K. Simmons, who also played an iconic Marvel character in the original Spider-Man film, that was cast as the new Commissioner Gordon.
While I’m no fan of the tone being set for the DC cinematic universe (it feels very much like the Youngblood comics of the 90s, and that’s a really, REALLY, bad thing) I’m all for poaching actors from the only good Spider-Man films.
Justice League: Part One is scheduled for release on Nov. 17, 2017, with Part Two slated for 2019.
