The people over at Warner Bros. seem to have short memories. I guess that makes sense as they don’t really know what they are doing with their current DC movie universe. Hell, it took them long enough to bring in actual comic writers from DC to help them save their films.

Now The Wrap is reporting that the movie studio has put together their wish list of actors they want to take on the role of Hal Jordan and it might surprise you. The list features the standard and predictable actors including Tom Cruise, Joel McHale, Bradley Cooper, Ryan Reynolds, Armie Hammer, and Jake Gyllenhaal.

Nothing really out of the ordinary as Hollywood wish lists go, but there is one name there that might surprise you.

Ryan Reynolds

Yes, that’s the same Ryan Reynolds that originally played GReen Lantern Hall Jordan in the 2011 film. The very same film that derailed the actors career until Deadpool in 2016. What kind of mad, mad world are we living in now?

Odds are this is a pipe-dream, but it’s interesting that the studio is even considering the actor. The real news is that if he does take on the role again (he won’t – Ed) that would make the first film canon.
