We’ve known for a while that The Walking Dead was getting an official spinoff, but other than “zombies,” we haven’t heard much else. Well that’s all about to change, as I have the bare minimum of information required to call something an “article”!
First up, the show will be called Cobalt. Pretty cool title, and I like that it stands alone. If this were in theaters it’d be called The Walking Dead: Cobalt or something stupid like that.
Cobalt will center on a teacher and a guidance counselor. The counselor’s children have been cast, and they are Frank Dillane (whose father, Stephen Dillane, plays Stannis on Game of Thrones), probably best known as the young Tom Riddle in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince…
…and Alycia Debnam Carey, last seen in this summer’s Into the Storm (with Walking Dead alum Sarah Wayne Callies).
So there you go. “BREAKING: Show Has Title, Casts Attractive People.” Goddamnit.
Thanks to Deadline for the heads up.
