Valve announces Artifact, a new game that isn’t Half-Life 3

Artifact, is the latest game from Valeve and is a card game based on their DOTA world. Look, I like a nice card game as much as the next person, but it sure does feel like every single developer is jumping on this cash-cow.

Valve hasn’t made a game in years, so getting them to create something to make extra money is a big deal, especially when they won’t get off their butts to create Half Life 3, a game that would print money.

My real issue is that in the same day Gearbox also announced a trading card game instead to announcing news on Borderlands 3. I’m starting to think these card games are just the next MOBA craze.

As for Artifact, the game will feature a lane system, and use everyone’s favorite characters from DOTA, like Schmezbeck the Tickler, Mr. Borglork, and everyone’s favorite tank, Gundam. Look, I don’t know thing one about DOTA, but those names sound about right.

Just check out the trailer above for less, as it just looks like a teaser for a bad Superman show *cough* Krypton *cough*.
