‘UnDungeon’ launches Kickstarter with help for Square Enix Collective

Explore parallel worlds in stunning new pixel art RPG
UnDungeon, a classically inspired action/RPG with roguelike elements, has launched on Kickstarter with the support of Square Enix Collective. Developed by Dusseldorf-based studio Laughing Machines, the game is targeting $52,999 to secure a release on PC.

UnDungeon takes place in a mysterious world based on the principles of the multiverse, whereby multiple variations of the same world have collided in a single dimension following a cataclysmic event known as ‘The Shift’. Combining challenging fast-paced combat with beautiful hand-drawn pixel art, traditional role-playing mechanics, and roguelike elements, UnDungeon takes players on a supernatural journey across a dynamic, procedurally-generated map as one of the seven Heralds, each of whom have come from a world destroyed by The Shift.

“UnDungeon has been clearly endorsed by the Collective community, and we’re really happy to be supporting the team with its Kickstarter,” said Phil Elliott, director of indie development at Square Enix®. “Not only does the game look lovely and have a great atmosphere, the team behind it have been a joy to work with – and we wish them every success with the campaign!”
