Twin Peaks Fans Make Twin Peaks: Into The Night, A PS1 Styled Fan Game

Twin Peaks

Get yourself some damn good coffee.

Even if you’ve never seen it, David Lynch and Mark Frost’s Twin Peaks has had some massive influence on the gaming industry. You can find references in all sorts of games. Not just Western ones, either; after all, what do you think SWERY based Deadly Premonition off of?

That said, aside from a 2019 VR game, it hasn’t had many direct video game adaptations itself. Enter Twin Peaks: Into the Night; the work of Blue Rose Team (Jean Manzoni and Lucas Guibert). Into the Night (named for the song from show) is an adventure game with graphics that ape the PS1 aesthetic. Frankly, it ought to be a treat for fans of the show.

February 24th, 1989. This morning, in the town of Twin Peaks, Washington, a dead body is discovered down by the shore. Wrapped in plastic. When special agent Dale Cooper is called out to investigate on the recent murder of homecoming queen Laura Palmer, mysterious events begin to occur. Created as an hommage to good old 90s games classic, Twin Peaks: Into the Night is a fan game adaptation of the eponymous series created by Mark Frost and David Lynch. Have a taste of a new gameplay experience that will immerse you directly into the unique atmosphere of the show.

It’s worth noting that the game is in no way officially affiliated with David Lynch or Mark Frost. That said, what’s on display looks pretty good. While the game isn’t finished yet, a demo released today; you can download it from Blue Rose Team’s itch.io pace right here. It’s also worth noting that despite its looks, Twin Peaks: Into the Night is being developed for PC, with no plans to make it functional for original PlayStation hardware.
