TSINOVA Gives Update On Their Smart E-Bike

TSINOVA

Back in January of this year we picked the TSINOVA Smart E-bike as one of our picks for CES 2016. Granted, I’m a sucker for e-bikes and scooters, but the TSINOVA had a whole lot of style and class. It’s a pretty looking bike, but seeing it in person showed just how gorgeous the thing really looked. It’s the sort of thing that will get you noticed on the street. The bike comes in two flavors with a second model that folds up for easy storage! Now the company has got in contact with us about how things are progressing with their two bike models.

With cars causing congestion, bicycles requiring arduous efforts on hills, and electric scooters being unwieldy, people find themselves imprisoned in the concrete jungle. Seeing and responding to this situation, a group of automobile designers and engineers from leading automakers and Tsinghua University founded TSINOVA.

This month the company announced that their VeloUP smart drive system (what powers the bikes) has passed the European EN300200 criterion and Tsinova TS01 has passed the European EN15194 criterion. TSINOVA is ambitious to open the European market. If you have interest in us, do not hesitate to contact with me.

When we spoke with the team behind the bikes they were only operating in Asian territories, so this news opens up a new market to get their bikes into people’s hands. While there is no word on a US release date or timeline for that happening, the team did tell us that hitting the US was something they were very interested in. I know I’d love to get my hands on one of these bikes!

TSINOVA

TSINOVA has released a new video going into more details on their bikes and what makes them special, as well as lots of technical specs for those interested in those. It’s a nice video, but the script could use a little punching up to flow better in English. Still, it’s enough to get one excited about future US prospects for TSINOVA.
