Lots of explosions and terrible music choices abound in the teaser trailer for Transformers: The Last Knight. It’s a visual spectacle like only Michael Bay can deliver, whatever you may think of that.

I’ve been out of the Transformers loop since the first film made the entire thing about all the boring humans, but this looks to be a sequel/soft reboot of the series.

It looks to feature an evil Optimus Prime so there’s that. Sure, it’s pretty comic book cliché, but hey, what do you want from a film about talking robots.

The films synopsis is a confusing mess of two different timelines and storylines going on at the same time. Odds are the end of the film will erase everything from this series’ canon and allow the series to start fresh.

At least Anthony Hopkins is in it, so at the very least it’ll be watchable for him. But I can’t quite help the feeling that his presence in the film might be fairly minimal.
