You might be familiar with Torn Banner Studios from their previous game Chivalry: Medieval Warfare. Well, their new game eschews going medieval for going mystical. And you can get in on the open beta.
From now until May 14, you can play Mirage: Arcane Warfare in its current state for free. The game certainly looks pretty neat. And if it’s anything like its predecessor, it’s also going to make you rage from it’s sheer frenetic nature.
The beta also kicks off a new Arena mode. 2 teams of 3 players fight to the death on smaller maps tailored for the mode. While the final game will have six arena maps, the beta will only have 2 available:
Spire
Fight on the top of a huge monolith. Bait your opponents to the perilous edges of the tower – then shove them to their doom!
Tunnel
There’s only one path to death in this long, narrow level. Meet your opponents in the center, using wall-jumps to gain the higher ground in this claustrophobic corridor.
Mirage: Arcane Warfare launches worldwide on May 23, and is currently available for preorder: $29.99 for the Standard Edition, and $39.99 for the Special Edition on Steam.
