In what may be their best decision so far this year, Sony Pictures has announced their casting of Tom Holland as a young Nathan Drake for their Uncharted Movie.
Current Sony Pictures Chairman Tom Rothman was so impressed with Holland’s turn as Spider-Man in Spider-Man: Homecoming, he knew Holland would be perfect for the role.
Little is known about the film as of now, though it seems from Holland’s casting to be adapting parts of the third game. Shawn Levy is set to direct the film.
Uncharted as a film has spent more than it’s fair share of time in development Hell. A multitude of scripts have been passed over before. But Holland’s casting seems to be a solid starting point for the film.
