While Dragon Quest XI has yet to be announced for a western release, that doesn’t mean we can’t ogle over these amazing screenshots that have just hit the internet. The game already looks fantastic with the classic Dragon Quest art-style paired against some really nice looking environments.
What’s more impressive than that is what’s in store for 3DS players, as the screen show of something altogether new. Both screens on the 3DS have completely different art-style, with the bottom playing out in a classic top-down RPG manner akin to Super Nintendo RPG’s, while the top screen is in full 3D.
What makes this special is that you can play the game from either perspective, so that if you move on the bottom screen in 2D, your character will still move in relation in 3D on the top screen. It’s something that is pretty wild, and we can’t wait to see it in action.
