Netflix has a hit on its hands with the reboot of Sabrina the Teenage Witch. The series takes a much darker and more serious tone along the lines of Riverdale. The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is a must-see but not everyone is happy about the show.
Ignoring die-hard fans of the TGIF-era TV show and mom that hate everything not in the bible, one group is really pissed and suing Netflix over it. The Satanic Temple (TST) isn’t happy with the show for allegedly violating their copyright for using a statue of the goat-headed deity, Baphomet.

The folks over at TST say that the statue used in the show bears a striking similarity to their own statue to Baphomet. Looking at the two side by side it hard to fault them for making the claim as I can’t tell the difference. If anything, I’d have figured they just used the same statue.
Court documents have been filed and The Satanic Temple is looking for $150 million for the copyright and trademark violation. The group is also looking for a judge to grant an injunction that would force Netflix to pull the show from its streaming service while the case plays out.
