Splatoon was one of the best gaming experiences from last year. Even better was that Nintendo had regular updates to the game that were free to all users. It was an ingenious was to add new content and weapons, while still keeping the game fresh for new and old players. Splatoon now has 74 weapons, which is an impressive number for any shooter! It looks though as this latest update that brings us the Hydra Splatling will be the last for the game.
While this is the final weapons update the game will see, that doesn’t mean Nintendo won’t we continuing to make updates as the months go on. There is still the possibility of seeing new maps or tweaks as the year goes on. Even if this is the last free drop, we may see a future paid DLC pack of some sort, even if Nintendo tends to shy away from that sort of thing. For the content we did get, I wouldn’t be opposed to some sort of expansion pack if it were to come around in the future.
