Kind of hilarious for a character that’s supposed to be fast.
According to Variety, The Flash‘s standalone film has had its start of production delayed until late 2019. And, due to that, it may not see release until 2021.
The film was originally meant to have a 2020 release, but has had a plagued production. It lost its initial director, Rick Famuyiwa, due to creative differences in 2016. And then it went through a full rewrite by its current directors, John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein.. After that, it was previously expected to begin filming in March 2019, but reports state that filming was pushed to late 2019 due work still being done on the script.
The cherry on top is the same as with Justice League. The star, Ezra Miller, is in high demand within the studio’s ecosystem, as he plays an important supporting role in Warner’s Fantastic Beasts series. To make matters worse, filming on the third Fantastic Beasts movie is set to begin in July 2019, which may just introduce more scheduling conflicts. And may add up to one very tired Flash.
