Five Night’s At Freddy’s has been one of the most refreshing horror games in recent memory, and probably one of the best every created. Not to mention that it’s all the creation of a single person, with a turnaround time on sequels that would give the Madden series pause. The series is now reaching its fourth terrifying installment with the official trailer for Five Nights At Freddy’s 4.
While most may write this series off as simple jump scares, real fans know the depths that creator Scott Cawthon has gone to provide a world filled with so much backstory that there are entries YouTube series and websites devoted to connecting all the dots. This new installment throws everything out the window as the trailer shows what looks to be a child at home in the middle of the night with some uninvited guests. Somehow it seems the monsters from Freddy Fazbears have followed you home and you better keep the doors around the house closed lest they find you.
That innate fear we all had of the monster that may be living in our closet or under our bed is played with in this new installment. I can’t wait to see how this game connects with the series just as much as I look forward to freaking out while playing.
