One of the lovely folks here at GAMBIT used to live in an old “converted” motel for several years while saving up and working their way through college. They made me put converted in quotes because it was just a motel that was turned into apartments without any changes to the units the building was in a state of constantly falling apart. While this experience provided her with innumerable stories about the cast and characters that called that motel home, it also showed what truly living small meant.
