A bit early.
Leaks seem to happen all the time nowadays. And the latest comes at the expense of Take-Two Interactive. A number of large games from their slate have managed to have their existence filter out to the public ahead of their presumed announcement at E3.
The leak was first posted about by Reddit user swine_flu_greg… and then it sat for a while. Until Jason Schreier got wind of it and confirmed its authenticity; though admittedly, not all of it may have been planed to be announced at E3.
As to whether or not these games will get a proper announcement at E3 is anyone’s guess. But the cat is out of the bag on them.
The game described by the leak:
NBA 2K22
Dirk Nowitzki set to be the cover athlete, possibly; may be the Legendary Edition cover, alongside others for the standard release or other editions.
Codename Volt (working title)
An action game, described as “Cthulhu meets Saints Row”, with a logo that evokes the Fallout logo. The game is, potentially, being developed by Mafia series developer Hanger13 based on a leaked contract from last year, though there’s no guarantee. Trailer showed the game in a supposedly very unfinished state, so it probably won’t have a showing at E3.
New Firaxis Game: Codename CODA (a.k.a. Marvel XCOM)
What it says on the tin; a game described as Marvel XCOM, as you’d expect from Firaxis. Allegedly some big-name actors are voicing the characters.
Wonderlands (a.k.a. Codename Daffodil a.k.a. Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands)
Oh… hello Randy. Well, despite the fact that Geabox has been acquired by Embracer Group, there’s still a deal between Geabox, 2K games, and Take-Two in place, so that’s why this is here. Anyway, the game is a Borderlands spin-off featuring Tiny Tina. Notably, they seem to have already trademarked “Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands” s that’s probably the final name.
