A reboot might actually help in this case.
Ron Pearlman was kind of perfect as Hellboy. Which is why it was a shame that the studio had little trust in the source material for the character, demanding an audience surrogate among other things. If it had happened just a few years later, Both of the Hellboy movies would’ve gotten the boost they deserved. But now is the time for a passing of the torch. As such David Harbour (Stranger Things, Suicide Squad, A Walk Amongst the Tombstones) is definitely looking the part.

Sadly Guillermo Del Toro isn’t directing, so there’s no way of knowing if they’ll be doing as much as possible with practical effects or not. But by the look of things, they’re gonna nail it. This new Hellboy will rock.
