GRUMBLE, GRUMBLE…
Those of you that have played the original The Legend of Zelda know that it isn’t exactly the easiest game. Plenty of stuff is hidden away, often in unusual ways. But maybe you don’t want to deal with trying to set every tree on fire to find a secret door. And, if you’re a subscriber to the Switch Online Service, you might not have to.
In addition to the promised three games this month (Solomon’s Key, NES Open Tournament Golf, and Super Dodge Ball) Nintendo tossed in a fourth: The Legend of Zelda Living the life of luxury! (or The Legend of Zelda SP for short). And, if the name didn’t tip you off as to what it entails, well, the description sure will.
Normally, all you start the game with is nothing; well, until an old man in a cave gives Link a wooden sword. But in The Legend of Zelda SP, you can pretty much tell that old man to shove it. You start with, well, everything. And I mean, everything. The White Sword, Blue Ring, Magic Shield, Bombs, Candle, and so on. You even start with 255 Rupees; the max the original game allowed you to carry.
There’s also the second quest, but whether the luxury isn’t exactly apparent, yet. Still, it’s interesting to see slightly reshuffled old games like this, and official to boot. I’m sure everyone would want to see other favorites done up like this, too. So here’s hoping.
