Stukov coming to Heroes of the Storm

Keeping the trend of releasing heroes that will be nerfed almost immediately.

Blizzard’s been dropping a string of irresistible heroes for Heroes of the Storm of late. Well, irresistible to me, at least. You had D.Va, who is, well, a favorite of mine from Overwatch. And Malthael, recently, who has a natural ability to melt tanks. And now, Stukov, an aggressive Support character from Starcraft. The Warcraft fans have got to be pretty steamed right now.

Heroes of the Storm releases
Ohhh, not since late January. They mad. Blizzard

Like I said, Stukov’s fairly aggressive for a Support. He’s Melee, which means he’s somewhat rare among his class; only Uther, Rehgar and Kharazim will be keeping his company there. He can absolutely dish out damage, however, while healing his entire team. Since he’s all about spreading that infectious stuff, he can give everyone the healing bug with Healing Pathogen (Q), which seems great for team fights. He can do the opposite for enemy heroes; Weighted Pustule (W) slows and deals damage over time. His trait, Bio-Kill Switch (D) allows him to detonate both of these abilities, dealing a burst of healing/damage. Lurking Arm (E) is a channeled ability that deals damage over time in a set area, and silences enemy heroes in its border; it lasts until cancelled or interrupted.

And then there’s his Heroic abilities. Flailing Swipe (R) seems like a solid choice if you need to clear enemies away from an area while dealing damage.  It deals three swipes in an arc in front of him, with each swipe reaching further. His other Heroic, Massive Shove (R)… well, it launches the first hero hitin a direction. And it doesn’t stop until they hit unpathable terrain. You can, under the right circumstances, send an enemy hero all the way across the map.

Really gives you the time to reflect on your failures. Blizzard

That all really seals it for me. I *need* to buy Stukov, now. My Heroes of the Storm games won’t be complete without him. Even if I’m not using him at the time for whatever reason. I love being the thing that the enemy team fixes their hate upon. Especially as a healer. I don’t even know when he’ll be out, but I can’t wait.
