You usually don’t expect quite this degree of turnaround on the cost of a design choice like the PS5’s storage. YouTuber ACG has already had his review PS5 turned into a brick thanks to a glitch involving the system’s soldered, non-replaceable storage drive.
And considering that the street date for the console is tomorrow, well, it ain’t exactly great to know that this can happen. Especially because it’s not just ACG reporting this issue. While most haven’t had a complete failure due to the storage glitch, they’ve still encountered it. Exempli gratia, Giant Bomb’s Jeff Gerstmann reported the issue happening while Running Spider-Man Remastered and putting the console into rest mode.
Remember, kids: never try buy the first run of a new console generation.
