Time to do things the high ground way.
Star Wars: Battlefront 2 (the original, 2005 game, not the new one) has been without official multiplayer for about 3 years. When GameSpy closed its doors, that was pretty much it. Which sucked, because that was the major draw of the game.
But hark! Disney has heard your plaintive wail! They posted this Steam announcement:
Star Wars fans rejoice! Multiplayer support has returned for Battlefront II. Now you can draft your friends to the 501st legion and join up to 64 other players in a heated online battle for control of the galaxy.
Furthermore, the same is true of the GoG version. Even better, both versions now have cross-platform play!
