The Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer just dropped and is jam-packed with stuff for Marvel fans to get excited about. The trailer sees Peter Parker in Europe for a class trip and running into Nick Fury.
Some thing of note: It seems that Aunt May knows full well about Peter being Spider-Man (who doesn’t at this point) and even helping him and Happy out at a local event celebrating the masked hero.
The trailer also gives us some hints at the current post Infinity War world a people seem to be alive and well with no real care about being snapped out of existence. In fact, the only mention of the major events that happened come from Happy Hogan telling Peter that he’s all alone, maybe suggesting Iron Man is gone for good, or simply that he’s in Europe. Still, you’d think Stark could get there in a jiffy if he wanted too.
We also get a glimpse of two Spider-Man suits in the trailer: the new, darker main suit as well as what looks like a stealth suit that is clearly inspired by Spider-Man Noir. Parker has been a busy boy since his return to the living!
We don’t get much on the bad-guy front, but we do get out first look at Mysterio in action, and he look pretty great. What’s interesting is that the trailer seems to push him as some sort of hero fighting what looks to be another staple Spider-Man villain, Hydro-Man.
Could be be just how the trailer was edited as we all know Mysterio and his shtick, but it would make for an interesting take if they played him as some sort of anti-hero.
