The game is a disaster
WWE 2K20 is a nightmare. The game it riddled with bugs and glitches that make for lots of laughs for someone that gave up on wrestling games years ago because they never change or improve.
Sony is now stepping into the mix by offering refunds to fans that bought the game on PS4. Launching on October 22nd, WWE 2K20 has been an adventure online with #FixWWE2K20 trending shortly after launch.

Players have review-bombed the games Steam page, tanking the game into the “mostly negative” rating. Things have gotten so bad that 2K were forced to respond to the backlash and because, you know, they released a broken piece of junk.
“We are listening closely to feedback that’s been shared regarding WWE 2K20 and are aware of the concerns some players are reporting,” 2K said in a statement. “We expect to have an initial patch ready in the next two weeks, with others to follow.”

It’s the standard boiler plate “we knowingly sold a broken game and had this generic apology ready when we got called out.” That said, Sony isn’t waiting around for 2K and are offering refunds for the legitimately faulty piece of software.
Let’s face it, the WWE games the past several years have been trash with little improvements and more and more bugs. This is the first years Yukes isn’t handling things and it shows. They may have gotten lazy the last few years (remember the Nintendo Switch release of WWE 2K18), but it was never this bad.
