Sony announces the PlayStation Classic mini console

Following in the success of Nintendo and their mini console, Sony is taking a stab at the nostalgia market with the announcement of the Sony PlayStation Classic.

The design of PlayStation Classic mirrors the original console, with the same logo, button layout and packaging – but 45% smaller than 1994’s PlayStation.

This miniature console comes with an HDMI cable to connect to your TV complete with two wired controllers, plus a virtual memory card to save your adventures as you switch between titles.

The original PlayStation controller is was pretty clunky without the analog sticks with but featured four shoulder buttons and an ergonomic design for grip – and PlayStation Classic comes complete with two of these iconic controllers in the box.

The PlayStation Classic features 20 of the best games from the original PlayStation console, including Final Fantasy VII, TEKKEN 3, R4: Ridge Racer Type 4, Jumping Flash!, Wild Arms and more to be announced.

The PlayStation Classic will release on December 3rd for  $99.99!
