2018 marks the 40th anniversary of legendary studio SNK! To celebrate this extraordinary milestone, a variety of classic arcade games from SNK’s golden age (before the rise of the Neo Geo hardware) are coming back together in one anthology on Nintendo Switch as SNK 40th Anniversary Collection, with a treasure trove of features.
As of this writing there are 13 games announced in the collection, but NIS, the team behind the project, says that more will be announced. That said, there are already a lot of classic arcade titles here that you probably missed in the arcades.
Aside from the base game itself there will also be a limited edition that will run you $64.99 that includes a few goodies. You get a soundtrack and 40th anniversary hardcover art book all in a collector’s box.
