Sometimes, pissing off a large number of users is important.
Snapchat is redesigning its interface to more easily bring in new users. Which might rankle current users a bit.
This is, however, probably a necessity for the company. It’s only been growing by a few million users per quarter, which is also why this is a risk. Alienating current users could be pretty bad for them.
That said, it’s a necessary risk they’re willing to take. After the abject failure of Snapchat Spectacles, which they sunk a fair chunk of change into, they need to up their game. And to do that, they need to make their app easier to use.
