Actually, you can do this on Nintendo, but we’re not going to talk about that.
I may have mentioned it before, somewhere, but I was a SEGA kid back in the day. So you might imagine my delight in finding out that the SEGA Genesis (Mega Drive everywhere else) was getting the Mini treatment. And probably have modern hookups too, because of that.

SEGA announced the Genesis Mini at SEGA Fes 2018. While it’ll almost certainly come with some number of built in games, not much is actually known right now. And, for the time being, it’s just a Japan thing. Still, since it’s supposed to launch sometime this year, we’ll probably know more soon enough.
