If the people behind this series are trying to make me like it more with each issue, they’re doing a darn good job of it. Even though I’ve never liked any dinosaur-related material, and feel an immediate dislike when I see it, Savage #3 has the right amount dino to story ratio that it was really easy to enjoy.

This time round we get a little insight into what happened before the actual events of the story, switching from past to present, and getting to know the kind of life our characters have gone through in order to keep themselves alive. There’s a very high level of mature and strong material on display, and if you don’t think you can handle it, I suggest you not to start reading .Savage #3 is an intense and rewarding experience!
The overall story is completely interesting and engaging and it captivated my attention from the first page right to the last. It actually surprised me how much I was really into this read. It took me like a blink of an eye to start and finish it, which is great ofr sad depending on what you expect. I’m one of those who bet on the former as a fast read usually means I’m really into what I’m reading.
Also, there’s a new element I think may be a little SciFi related, another genre that Valiant got me into, and which seems to be an ideal complement. Yes, I’m sure it could be considered a cliché, but it works pretty nicely for us as readers that haven’t been around the genre as long as others.
This third issue gives it the right space for the genre so we can see how versatile and creative the script can be, and how detailed oriented the artists are as well. There’s no censorship here and the works really takes advantage of it by kicking some reall ass with the story.
Savage #3 also features vivid colors, strong and wild inks and some nice lettering. These are all small parts that help build a complete picture what help make Savage #3 more than a great comic, but elevate it into art. Of course the script is the skeleton for the story, but it’s also the key for an incredible artwork to build from, achieving high quality and pushings creativity’s boundaries as well..
It is starting to become a challenge to guess what will happen in the next issu (something I enjoy in the comics I read) just as with good books and short stories. This also applies to the art, as I didn’t expect to see anything different or genre pushing this issue. QThere is a fantastsic balance of eberything in theis issue which helps make the book a really strong outing.
Savage #3 can be described as a wild and unpredictable comic book. One that takes risks when you think it won’t and that tries to innovate in a field many other publishers don’t. This series represents a great introduction in the genre for newcomers and, perhaps, a couple of surprises for “veteran” readers.
