That’ll hold ’em all wight, heh-heh-heh-heh-heh-heh.
Warner Bros. MultiVersus is probably one of the most successful platform-fighters currently available. And it sure doesn’t hurt that it’s free-to-play. Though it did launch in something of an unfinished state; while it has a core cast representing some of the most recognizable characters across their catalog, including the likes of Superman, Bugs Bunny, Shaggy, Finn and Jake from Adventure Time, and even LeBron James*, there are some things lacking in the cast. Notably the upcoming additions of Black Adam and Stripe will rectify the fact that there were barely any villains/antagonists (aside from Harley Quinn), they could always do with more.
And so, given that a trademark filing from the European Union may have tipped their hand, it seems that the meme, the legend, Big Chungus is headed to MultiVersus, as Twitter user Andrew Marmo shared.
If you’re somehow not familiar with Big Chungus, Know Your Meme has you covered.
Granted, the filing doesn’t explicitly state that this is for MultiVersus. Nor does it really specify what, if any role, the meme will fill in game across the many things the filing is applied for. It is. however, not the first time that Big Chungus has been in a game; he was added to the mobile game Looney Toons World of Mayhem last year.
Also not included is any idea of when one of the BIGGEST memes will land in the game. You know, assuming that that’s what the filing is for, considering the number of apparel tags the filing also has under “Goods & Services”.
