The Nintendo Switch has been happy to live as a gaming console and not some sort of connected media device like the PS4 and especially the Xbox One, at least before all the updates.

While the Switch does have access to Hulu for a decent amount of streaming video content, it lacks access to YouTube. This means all those nine year olds can’t watch Fortnite video so they can keep up with their friends.

Over the weekend the French Nintendo focused website Nintendo HOME tweeted a supposed screengrab from the upcoming app for the Switch. This could be nothing but clickbait, but adding YouTube would be a smart move with so many kids using the Switch.

The tweet claims that the app with launch on November 8th, so we won’t have to wait long to see if this rumor pans out.
