The Road Rash inspired Road Rage launches this October

Road Rash was quite a lovely game back in the 16-bit generation of video games, and was the only reason to drop hundreds of dollars on a 3DO console. And the 3DO version of the game is still (at least in my mind) the definitive version of the original Road Rash.

Playing off of this tradition, Maximum Games has announced that it’s handling publishing duties on the upcoming Road Rage, the game heavily inspired by the original Road Rage series set in a huge open-world. Let’s just hope the game can take the spirit that made the original Road Rage great and roll, err, ride away with it.

Road Rage is an over-the-top motorcycle action game in which players race, battle and hustle their way up the ranks of an outlaw motorcycle gang. Joyride around an open-world city torn apart by underground crime, earning money and building a reputation for taking no prisoners in knock-down, drag-out, high-speed combat.

Ride in style on a variety of customisable bikes, then push them to the limit in all-out gang warfare with an arsenal of hard-hitting weapons and slick manoeuvres through over 90 story-driven and side missions.

Some Features Include:

  • Extensive Gameplay Variety – Play 42 story-driven missions and 56 additional side missions ranging from delivery and escort jobs to combat races to all-out gang brawls!
  • Open-World Exploration – Joyride around a massive city and discover a wide variety of missions and objectives throughout its distinctive neighborhoods.
  • Insane Weaponry – Equip yourself with a range of weapons for knock-down-drag-out encounters with rivals on the road!
  • Ride in Style – Choose from a variety of motorcycles and customize your bike to suit your style.
