Right Now, You Can Get 90 Days Of Quibi Free

Quibi

Some T-Mobile customers can get a full year free.

Quibi (short for “Quick Bites”) launched this Monday. True to its name, it offers content in a manner similar to what you might be familiar with from Adult Swim; short (in this case 10 minute) shows, with focus on mobile users. That said, the streaming market is super crowded, which means they really need to make a name for themselves.

So, to draw in customers, they’ve got a free trial going right now. Any user that signs up before April 30th will get 90 days absolutely free. This deal was originally only for those that pre-ordered, but given the state of Za Warudo the world right now, they decided really opening it up was to their benefit, and yours too. After the trial ends, a subscription costs $4.99 for the ad-supported version, and $7.99 for the ad-free version.

But that’s not the end of it. T-Mobile customers on the unlimited family plan are able to get a one year subscription absolutely free. Per T-Mobile’s statement:

T-Mobile customers with two or more voice lines at standard rates on Magenta and ONE plans with taxes and fees included — along with discounted First Responder, Military and Magenta Plus 55 plans — or small business customers with up to 12 lines will score a subscription to Quibi (regularly $4.99) included in their plan no added cost. Customers can sign up between now and July 7 to get Quibi added to their plan on us. Just go to mytmobile.com or the T-Mobile app for iOS or Android beginning April 6 to add Quibi.

T-Mobile isn’t he first telecom to offer such a deal; Verizon offered free Disney+ subscriptions for customers back in November. But Quibi founder Jeffrey Katzenberg doesn’t see Disney+ as a threat to his service.

From the standpoint of people’s certainly subscription money and time – yes, in a macro sense, maybe we are in the same larger sea. But we, as a use case, couldn’t be more different and therefore really are not competing with them directly.

Quibi Launched with 50 shows, which have been hit-or-miss with critics. But Most Dangerous Game, which stars Liam Hemsworth and Cristoph Waltz has been a big hit for them. Also, they’ll be bringing back Reno 911, so there’s that.
