‘Quake Champions’ Closed Beta Announcement video

Quake 3 Arena was the game that got me to build my first PC when I was just a wee tot. I’ve had computers before, sure, but it wasn’t until the Quake 3 engine that I was forced to build a gaming PC to get in on the action.

Let’s face it, back in those days getting your parents to buy a new computer ever other year was not something all the feasible. And unlike today where even the most barebone, on the shelf PCs have Radeon’s and the like powering graphics, back then most could run Word and maybe get on the internet.

But enough about the past as it’s almost time to return to the Arenas in the present day, so dust off your rocket jumping and Railgun skills – sign-ups for the highly anticipated Closed Beta for Quake Champions are now open on the game’s new official site: http://www.quake.com

The new website is loaded up with details on many of the Arenas, weapons and Champions you’ll be able to check out when the game enters Closed Beta. Also, keep an eye out this week for more info and gameplay videos. On Wednesday, the team will start their Champion profiles with a new trailer focused on Nyx.

This will be followed up on Thursday with a showcase of the first Arena, Blood Covenant. So check out the new site, sign up for the Closed Beta, and get ready to head back to the Arena. Quake Champions will launch in 2017 on PC.
