Power Rangers Fighting Game Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid Announced

Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid

It’s morphin’ time!

Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid is a Power Rangers fighting game that was just announced. Developed by nWay, the game is scheduled for an April 2019 release. And it’ll be available on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.

And it’s meant to truly be cross-platform. Regardless of which platform you buy the game on, you’ll be able to play against someone on another. Any mission progress you make together will also carry over across all platforms.

Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid spans the franchise’s 25 year history, giving players the opportunity to play as Rangers and villains from across that span. And the teaser definitely shows that off. Not only does it feature a small cross-section or rangers new and old, it ends with Jason David Frank (Tommy Oliver).

Power Rangers fans have been asking for a high fidelity fighting game on console and PC that match up iconic Rangers and villains across the expansive Power Rangers multiverse for quite some time now. We wanted to deliver this to the fans and make sure it has cross-play and cross-progression capabilities as we believe playing with friends across multiple platforms at the same time is where the future of gaming is headed.

And as you might expect, there are a number of goodies planned for the game. While the standard digital download will run you $20, the special edition will be $40. And it gives you so much in addition to the game: a season pass (which includes 3 characters and their Arcade stories, as well as a warrior skin), and Lord Drakkon Evo II and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Pink Ranger character skins. And pre-ordering nets you an art book, as well as the Green Ranger V2 skin, unavailable any other way.
