Porsche’s Passport Subscription lets you Swap Cars on Demand

Porsche and chill?

Porsche has, apparently, decided to copy the model for internet subscriptions. Their new, $2000 Passport program allows you to swap cars as you see fit…

As long as you live in Atlanta, Georgia. It’s sort of a test run for them, you see.

Our Strategy 2025 vision is to be the most aspirational brand in a new era of mobility and consumer expectations. Catering to customers’ desire to experience our sports cars in new ways is a part of our core strategy,” said President and CEO Klaus Zellmer of PCNA. “With Porsche Passport, we now offer our customers a simple and flexible driving solution at their fingertips.

The plan supports a number of requisite secondary services (unlimited mileage, insurance, maintenance, etc.). And the base, $2000/month plan only gets you access to 8 models. For the full, 22 car roster, you’ll have to step it up to the $3000 accelerate plan. And that doesn’t cover the full range of the company’s cars; in short, no supercars for you.

Still, it might be worth it to you in the long run, assuming this test run is successful. Most leases on their cars are over half that initial price monthly, and don’t include the mileage, maintenance, insurance and other costs. It might well get you into a Porsche for a reasonable (for a Porsche) monthly price. We’ll just have to see how it all develops.
