Police Bodycam FPS Unrecord Is, In Fact, A Video Game

Unrecord

Dev proves it, no matter how hard it is to believe.

You may have seen footage of Unrecord floating around on social media, usually accompanied by disbelief that it’s from a game (or, if you’re like me, wondering what sort of astronomical system requirements it has). Well, developer Alexandre Spindler and Studio Drama have decided to put the debate over whether it’s just real footage or a game to rest.

For frame of reference, Spindler had to tweet out that it was actual game footage:

Unfortunately, Spindler was still up against the disbelief of the crowd. So, he upped his game, so to speak, by uploading a video of the game running in Unreal Engine 5’s interface, with noclip on. Needless to say, it utterly shatters the photorealistic illusion they had going on.

Needless to say, while UE5 is doing some considerable lifting with the game with lighting and textures, the devs have this fine-tuned so well that it really is hard to discern. That said, if you really look at it closely, you can see the little things that are proof it’s a game. That said, it sure does look like camera footage; they did a good job.
