Pokemon games follow a very tired formula that I respect the hell out of. Look, if it ain’t broke and people keep buying it up by the millions then you just ride that gravy train right into the video game sunset. This is why PokemonGo! is probably the closest we will get to a Pokemon MMO until the money starts drying up.
But that isn’t stopping Madrid-based game studio Crema and published Humble Bundle from looking to fill a void fans have been wanting for years. The studio is taking the collecting and battling of cute monsters and tossing it into an MMO.
The game is billed as a “massively multiplayer creature-collection adventure inspired by Pokemon.” It’s clear the people the team is trying to draw in. Because this is an MMO you’ll be able to play against others or choose to complete the entire campaign cooperatively.
TemTem is scheduled to hit Early Access on Steam on January 21, 2020. The studio has plans to expand the game when it launches in full onto the Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One sometime down the line.
