Pokémon Comaster game releases in Japan

Pokémon Comaster

Pokemon is a big deal in Japan. I know it’s pretty huge in the states as well, but over there it has become almost part of their identity. So much so that the Japanese market gets a number of Pokemon based games that never see the light of day in the West.

Pokemon Comaster is one such game. The game just released on Android devices (iOS soon to follow) and features a new spin on the Pokemon world. Instead of battling with cards, or using trainers to fight like in the core games, Coaster sees the player taking part in virtual boardgame.

The concept is pretty much the Pokemon collectible figure game, but on mobile devices. No word on if the game will see a release outside of Japan, but we can enjoy some of the videos released detailing the game below.
