It’s the golden zone, people.
Look, the PlayStation Classic didn’t exactly make anyone happy on release. The games were limited in selection, some of them didn’t even run properly, and the price was way higher than most of us were willing to pay for what we were getting.
But the price slashing brought it closer and closer to a good deal over time. And now, you can snag one for the irresistible price of $25 at Best Buy and Amazon. Per Wario64 on Twitter:
Before you say that you’ll never really use it, though, do take the healthy modding community into consideration. You can sideload just about any PS1 game you’ve ripped yourself onto the thing.
You can even make the whole thing run better with mods. Hell, you can even get it to run other system’s games. The modding community for these things is huge. Which means it’s not a bad buy for $25.
So you might want to pull the trigger this time. It may be the last real opportunity you get to do so.
