Play, learn and dance with ‘memoo’ a child’s first smart hub

Memoo is the connected device that facilitates communication between parents and kids in a fun way.

A smartphone gives kids a way to contact loved ones in case of an emergency, find information on the Internet, and to play games and music. But some parents are wary about handing their child a smartphone: it means spending more time in front of a screen, access to inappropriate media content and privacy can be compromised.

Memoo is a smart hub connected to the parent’s smartphone for security and control. Children listen to music and stories independently, ask memoo questions, and communicate with mom and dad by calling them through voice commands. From the moment kids wake up in the morning, memoo acts as an alarm clock, calendar, schedule planner and iPod all in one.

Listen to a good morning message and get a daily reminder about the day’s agenda that mom recorded last night, like “don’t forget your bag for sport practice after school.” And if children have a question about it, they can ask memoo to send a message in reply. As children get ready for the day, they can look to memoo for how to dress accordingly. A pictogram of a sun or a raindrop is displayed and a blue or red LED light changes depending on the temperature and weather outside.

At the end of the day, memoo acts as a nightlight in the color of their choice. By playing bedtime stories or lullabies (also recorded by mom or dad if they want) memoo even helps children fall asleep. While they’re in bed, memoo can connect to a humidifier or thermostat to ensure a child is as comfortable as possible.

Parents control who and what their child can access through memoo via the free C-Way app. They can choose which family members their kids can contact, choose appropriate radio stations and Spotify playlists, leave daily reminders and notifications or record a favorite story. They can also choose to shut off its Wi-Fi at a pre-determined time.
